본과 풀타임 학생부터 일할 수 있어요. (풀타임으로 계속 다녔다면 졸업학기는 파트타임 학생이어도 괜찮아요)

어학과정 학생이거나, 본과 파트타임 학생은 일할 수 없어요. 

• you’re a full-time student at a designated learning institution (DLI)

• you’re enrolled in a

post-secondary academic, vocational or professional training program, or

secondary-level vocational training program (Quebec only)

본과 수업이 시작된 첫 날부터 일할 수 있어요.

학교 수업 시작일보다 더 일찍 캐나다에 들어와있더라도 학교 수업이 시작되기 전까지는 일할 수 없어요.

• you’ve started studying

You can only start working in Canada when you start your study program. You can’t work before your studies begin.

Social Insurance Number(SIN)가 있어야 일할 수 있어요.

일을 할 수 있는 학생 신분이라도 서비스 캐나다에서 SIN을 발급받기 전까지는 일할 수 없어요.

6개월 이상의 학업 과정에 재학중인 학생이어야 일할 수 있어요.

컬리지 본과 학생일지라도 6개월 미만의 학업 과정에 재학중인 학생이라면 일할 수 없어요.

• your study program

is at least 6 months long, and

leads to a degree, diploma or certificate

졸업생의 경우,

study permit이 만료되기 전에 PGWP 혹은 다른 종류의 work permit을 신청했을 때만 졸업 후에도 일을 할 수 있어요.

study permit이 만료되기 전에 다음 워크퍼밋을 신청하지 않았다면 study permit이 만료되는 즉시 일을 할 수 없어요.

Working after you complete your study program

• were already able to work off-campus during your studies

• applied for a work permit or post-graduation work permit before your study permit expired

• are waiting for a decision on your work permit application
  

PGWP나 다른 종류의 워크퍼밋을 신청하지 않았고, 졸업일 이후에 아직 스터디퍼밋의 기한이 많이 남은 경우

남은 스터디퍼밋(혹은 off-campus work permit)의 만료일과 무관하게

학교로부터 학업이 종료되었다는 공지를 받은 날 이후로는 더 이상 일을 하실 수 없어요.

이 공지에는 학교측으로부터 받는 졸업에 관한 이메일, 공식 레터, 졸업 성적표, 학위증명서 등이 있어요.

Off-campus work and completion of a program of studies

They may work until the first date they receive written confirmation of program completion from their educational institution (for instance, an email, a letter, a transcript or a diploma), provided their study permit remains valid during this period.

Once a student receives written confirmation of program completion from their institution, they are no longer authorized to continue to work in Canada
